Carl Cortes better known as "Bobby" is the host of the villa, the concierge at service, the master of ceremony for the contestants on PokerIsland.
Born in Puerto Rico, Bobby started a colourful and glamorous business career all over the planet: From Marketing & Fund Raising Manager at the Museum in San Juan, over Creative Director for Vero Vero in Barcelona, to the Director of the famous Jockey Club – just to name a few – now we are glad to have Bobby in the PokerIsland team and at the villa.
Bobby will look after the schedule, all house rules and be the single point of contact for the players at any problem or wish.
In the next months Bobby will write his texts, show his point of view of the players in the house and the luxury experiences via video in this blog.

Well it was a hell of a week and the PCD's are gone from PokerIsland, after trying to keep everything under control for the party I have to say that it was a good learning expirience. Thank God that I had lots of help from Eva Weissenfel who is our Event Coordinator and responsible of getting every thing that we needed for the big event. From the stage and lighting, sound system and the rest.
I hope that all of you who had the oportunity to watch on live stream saw what a wonderfull evening we had. Stay tuned to pokerisland.tv and in the next few days you will see a lot more from the PCD's and other activitys going on at PokerIsland.
I am also sad because one of our favorite player is leaving the house after being with us for 3 weeks Tobias we will miss you and of course we will get to see him for the big final at PokerIsland at the end of october.

Hello guys,
I really have to admit that I'm really impressed on how the players come 2 PokerIsland. Most of them come here with a complete different perspective - not only on there game strategy, but also in meeting and living together with other people. I'm sure this experience will not only change their lifes but also each and everyone's game. The players of the week ... Gisela, Kyle, Guillermo, Yi and Yann ... it's difficult not 2 take care for any of those people. They depend on you and also they appreciate all the small details that I'm able 2 do for them. I have to mention also Yi for his constant and professional poker play and very serious thinking - I'm quite sure he's about to win this week's final.
