This was the last
Weekly Final of PokerIsland. The Weekly Final of week 4. Michael started with
6000 in the game, like Stefan and Illir, Alex and Pablo with 5000. Blinds at
20/40 and Alex, Illir and Pablo started quite strong and aggressive. Michael
and Stefan waited and saw. But compared to our Morning Poker, this was a hot
game and the players played a lot of hands! By blinds 100/200 Alex was
chipleader with 8910, followedby
Michael with 8300, Illir with 5130, Stefan 4150 and Pablo with 1510 left to
play. And it was flush time. Two times in a row Illir hit the flush, a few
hands later Alex did. Pablo kept fighting for his life but loosing with K/A vs
Stefan’s As/4s (10/2s/3s/Q/Ks). And next hand, we had the first decision: Pablo
went all in with 910 and Michael on the big blind called. So showdown: Micheal
with K/7 and Pablo with Q/J in his hand. The board came down with 5/A/8/7/2 and
the Spanish had to say goodbye to all his hopes!
Blinds at 200/400 and the Swiss Riverman was back winning a few hands just on
the river. But next level, 300/600 the river luck was swept away by Alex. On
the small blind, Illir raised 1200 and Alex called. So let’s see the flop:
A/7/10. Alex bet 1000 and Illir reraised all in – Alex called with pocket 7 vs.
Illir’s Q/10. On the turn, we got a deuce. And on the river: 10. Wow, Illir was
out, smashed by Alex’ fullhouse! Lady luck had changed fronts!
Blinds 500/1000 and this time Michael made the move going all in pre flop.
Small stack Stefan called with Route 66 vs. Michaels A/5. On the flop A/9/K,
Michael hit the over pair. And turn Q, river 9 didn’t save Stefan’s life.
Goodbye Stefan! It was nice having you here.
Heads up between Alex (5980) and Michael (22020). First all in by Alex 4980 and
he doubled up with pocket 10 vs. Michael’s K/2 with 9/9/8/J/8 in the board. But
next hand, he was gone. Alex went all in and Micheal called with A/A vs. Q/J.
The flop came down with 4/2/Q. On the turn we got a 2 and on the river J!
Michael won with two pairs aces and deuces against a pair of queens and jacks. So
Michael, good work and good luck in the online final at 14th of
July! Stay tuned for more!
